Careful choice of components and 0% returns

Our selection of raw materials always focuses on quality, preferring primary aluminium, stainless steel and primary polymers. This philosophy allows us to guarantee incomparable mechanical resistance and durability, even in difficult environments such as coast or mountains, that are subject to extreme climate conditions. We adopt the same approach when controlling quality and when choosing packaging, guaranteeing safe, integral transportation of products to the installer, with 0% returns due to damage or flaws.

From the “think tank” of research and development to the patents office

We have created a space that we like to call our “think tank, namely the research and development department, where we work every day to interpret the needs of today and project them into the future, creating innovative, practical shade systems over the years. We have also created a fully smart industrial system to support these big ideas, where all the production and logistics processes are digitised, from estimates to assembly, packaging and shipping.

Kikau's modus operandi

Kikau shade systems hail from a design aimed at creating long-lasting, tangible value for all stakeholders, from designers to architects, dealers and end customers. Each of the company’s actions, from market research to distribution, is a reflection of our modus operandi.

Market research

All Per of intercepting the needs of designers, dealers and end users. We analyse demand trends, to bring products to market that meet people’s real needs.

Processing

We evaluate whether there are other products that meet that same need and how they do it, whether fully or partially, or if there are any critical points or limits that can be overcome.

Creation

After the study phase, we move onto the creation of an innovative product concept, that can overcome the limits found on the market and that can meet perceived expectations.

Design

At the same time we design the product, its engineering and the production line, so that we obtain the best possible optimisation of assembly, with automatic or semi-automatic lines: all optimised to be managed automatically and digitally.

Production of prototype

Starting with a three-dimensional definition of the system, we manage to physically create a prototype in a relatively short time, with all the characteristics of the final product.

Testing

The prototype undergoes functional tests that allow us to evaluate whether we have achieved the initial concept. Mechanical, resistance, insulation, wind resistance and aesthetic tests then follow.

Patent

If the final prototype satisfies our stringent innovation standards, we decide to patent it to guarantee ourselves exclusivity, taking care to place products on the market that are long lasting and that can actually be applied in real life.

Engineering

Prima della messa in produzione, passiamo alla fase definitiva di ingegnerizzazione del prodotto in cui cerchiamo tutte le soluzioni necessarie a ottimizzare la produzione per evitare sprechi di risorse e soddisfare gli standard industriali.

Production

The system then goes into large-scale industrial production, taking care to reproduce the same attention to detail in each product, optimising resources to avoid waste and using sustainable production methods.

Distribution

We cover the whole of Italy and the rest of Europe. We only choose recyclable packaging and reliable transport companies to distribute Kikau products.
